This curriculum describes the key concepts that should be addressed through religious education – beliefs/teachings/sources, practices/ways of life, expressing meaning, identity/diversity/belonging, meaning/purpose/truth, values/commitments. The curriculum also describes the range and content of materials that should be covered in religious education classes and the importance of learning about and from religion.
This curriculum provides guidance on the teaching of Islamic studies and separates this guidance by grade. The curriculum focuses on discusses the themes, stories, values, and history of the Islam. Arabic is also incorporated into parts of the curriculum.
