This resource contains a non-statutory national framework for religious education. It sets out non-statutory guidelines for religious education in England and provides information to help those with responsibility for the provision and quality of religious education throughout the whole of the maintained system of education.
The national framework is also intended to be of use to the relevant authorities with responsibility for schools with a religious character and inform religious and secular communities about the scope of religious education.
