The “Instituto Universitario de Ciencias de las Religiones is the sole research institute focused on religious studies within the public University System in Spain. There are many researchers from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Institutes of Philology, Philosophy and Historical Studies who collaborate with the Institute on the PhD program as well as on different research projects. Every year, the Institute publishes a journal called, 'Ilu. Revista de Ciencias de las Religiones.
