Center for Education in Religious Culture

The Center for Education in Religious Culture (CERC) was established in 2011 with the purpose of promoting the improvement of education in religious culture in Japan. In particular, it aims at fostering the capacity to understand Japanese and world religious traditions at higher education level. The center is organized by the representative members of Japanese Association for Religious Studies (JARS).

We welcome questions about Japanese religious traditions from textbook writers and RE teacher trainers overseas, though we may not be able to respond to individual teachers’ questions.
