This article is a response to the previous survey findings of increasing conservatism and radicalism phenomenon in Indonesia due to religious education in schools. It reveals that there are three barries that should be taken into account in teaching pluralism in schools: teachers, teaching materials, and methodology. It also suggests three ways to create pluralism: empowering social resouces, involving local wisdom, and empowering the role of the family.
