CFP Deadline: June 28, Conference, “Analysing Jewish Europe Today: Perspectives from a new generation,” Germany

Drawing on the positive outcome of the first “Analysing Jewish Europe Today “Conference in 2010, JDC International Centre for Community Development is organising the second edition of the conference, to take place in Berlin, Germany on October 25-27, 2013.

The conference will analyse contemporary Jewish life in Europe from a new generation’s point of view by offering a space for emerging researchers to expose their work and debate.

For this second conference, proposals dealing with the issues listed below will receive special consideration:

• Intermarried couples and their children, Jewishness and Jewish life. Qualitative and quantitative approaches.
• Interfaith relations in Europe (especially, Muslim-Jewish relations).
• Jewish studies vs. community life – opportunities for effective cooperation.
