AFAN is a joint project between churches, faith communities, fbfe (the National Council of Faiths and Beliefs in FE), and the British Humanist Association. The target audience of AFAM is students between 16-19 in England. The aim of the AFAN is “to support students both in engaging with a plural society, through better understanding of the main religious and non-religious traditions in British Society, and in developing a sense of meaning and purpose, and values which enable them to function positively in such a society”. AFAM produces materials to put that methodology into practice.
