Turkey’s Islamic education model draws worldwide attention

Noting that there has been an explosion in the number of demands from various parts of the world for religious education and religious services, Religious Affairs Directorate Deputy Chairman for Foreign Relations Professor Mehmet Görmez has said: “Turkey’s religious education and religious services in the country and abroad are attracting attention from all over the world. There is significant demand from everywhere — from Equatorial Guinea to Europe and from the autonomous republics of Russia to Bangladesh and Indonesia — and we are having difficulty meeting it.”
