On Saturday, Feb. 15 from 10am to 11am, Sara Wicht will present a session on Teaching Tolerance’s new Anti-Bias Framework. The Framework provides a roadmap for anti-bias education at every grade level and is organized into four domains (identity, diversity, justice and action) that represent a continuum of engagement in multicultural and social justice education. During the session, participants will explore the ABF’s anchor standards, corresponding grade-level outcomes and school-based scenarios to understand what anti-bias attitudes and behavior may look like in the classroom.
Then, from 4pm to 5pm, rejoin Sara to learn how to use Teaching Tolerance’s Best Practices: Creating an LGBT-inclusive School Climate to create a safe school that is truly welcoming to all students. Participants will receive a print copy of the guide and a “This School Welcomes You” poster.
