CFP Deadline: April 1, Submissions on Buddhism for website, Australia

Call for Paper Submissions
The main function of the international conferences “Buddhism & Australia ” is to provide a platform for academics and monastic scholars and lay Buddhists to present academic presentations. Traditionally all the presentations of these conferences have been published on the website, making them available for larger public.

Now Buddhism & Australia website provides an opportunity for people from around the globe to present their ideas, research findings and knowledge about Buddhism as text submissions, which will be published on our website. Academic articles related to Buddhism, e.g., literature, history, philosophy, art, psychology, education, science, society etc., are welcome.

Complete articles should include the title, an abstract, references and contain min 4 pages. An author`s CV (max of 2 pages) should be added to the article.

The articles shouldn’t be published earlier. Copyright of all accepted works will transfer to the IC Buddhism & Australia,that will include articles in on-line databases, possible books or elsewhere for academic distribution. The articles are expected in English and will be published quarterly.

June 1, 2013
September 1, 2013
January 1, 2014

The submissions will be approved by Vello Vaartnou, the Head of Estonian Nyingma and Buddhism & Australia. The choice of topic and handling of the material will be the criteria in assessment of papers. In each period the board will note three outstanding articles.
The author of the best article will have the possibility to participate in the next conference for free (no registration /participation fee).
