Teaching About Religion in Public Schools (10/27/09)

This report extracts a few key points from a conference on Teaching About Relgions in Public Schools organized by the First Amendment Center and the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life. It discusses the importance of religion in not just shaping thoughts, but personality as well. The effects of the 9/11 attack on religious views that brought out the importance of Islam have also been shared. It takes into consideration  American history and the present diverse nature of American culture, which makes this report even more relevant to the current issue.
