The Islamic Legal Studies Program at Harvard Law School is now accepting applications for its Senior Scholar Fellowships in Islamic Legal Studies for the academic year 2014-2015. The Senior Scholar Fellowships are designed to provide senior scholars in the field the opportunity to spend an academic year or semester in residence at ILSP to research a topic of his/her choice. Preferably, that research would also relate to one of ILSP’s three research streams: Islamic Law and Legal History, Islamic Law and Society, and Islamic Law Themes in Digital Humanities.
These fellowships are non-stipendiary. Scholars will be provided with office space, access to Harvard University libraries, a networked computer, and access to a printer.
Scholars are expected to be in residence during their fellowship term and to give a public talk on their chosen topic. Scholars must also abide by other applicable terms and conditions of the program.
Applications must be received by April 1, 2014. For information on required application materials, please visit the program site.
