The Role of Religion in Global Civil Society: A Focus on South and Southeast Asia

LUCE PROJECT ON RELIGION IN GLOBAL CIVIL SOCIETY: 2011 REGIONAL WORKSHOP. This workshop will focus on South and Southeast Asia.  The goal of the workshop, as with the last one, will be to examine the region as a whole and to highlight the unique situations of individual countries and to the extent possible as many of the various religious influences present within each country.

This annual workshop, the second in a series of three Luce Foundation-funded workshops to examine the role of religion in global civil society, will capture material with which to develop resources to infuse the study of religion into the curriculum of graduate programs in global and international studies training students planning to work in the international NGO sector
