CFP Deadline: Mar. 20, Symposium on Heterodoxy/Church History, Canada

St. Peter’s College, Muenster, Saskatchewan, Canada, will hold an Ecclesiastical History Symposium,  August 29-30, 2015 on “Issues on Heterodoxy Throughout the Ages.”

Faculty and graduate students of classics, history, religious studies, philosophy, or related fields, are invited to submit papers for a history symposium on ecclesiastical history. Each essay will cover an event or time-period of interest to the author. The theme of the symposium “Issues on Heterodoxy throughout the Ages” (as it pertains to Church History) speaks to a specific topic while encouraging submissions from all historical periods.

Interested applicants will submit a one-page abstract in English by March 20, 2015 for a 20-25 minute presentation. Click on the icon “Symposium” on the St. Peter’s College website. Send the abstract to <cahistorysymposiumATstpeters.sk.ca>.

The abstract should contain the following information:

  •     A synopsis of the paper
  •     Time period that it explores
  •     Length of the prospective paper
  •     The scholar’s contact information and affiliation

Selected scholars will be notified by March 27. The papers may range in length from 4,000 to 13,000 words. All selected papers must be written in Chicago Manual Style and must be submitted by May 22 in .doc or .

Papers will be chosen on the basis of originality and will be published as a collection of essays through St. Peter’s Press.
